Answers to all of your questions regarding your guided fishing trip at Lake Lewisville, Lake Grapevine or Lake Texoma.

CAN WE BRING OUR OWN EQUIPMENT?

Absolutely! If you have your own personal “secret weapon,” we welcome it. We’ll do our best to help you get it hooked up and catching fish.

WHAT DO WE NEED TO BRING?

Here is a quick checklist: 

  • Snacks and drinks (no glass, please)

  • Sunglasses, hat & sunscreen

  • Weather- appropriate clothing

  • Valid Texas Fishing License

  • A small cooler to take your fillets home

We provide a boat cooler filled with ice so you don't have to bring your own for the trip. ​

WHAT ABOUT THE WEATHER?

We understand that trips are often booked weeks in advance, and weather can be unpredictable.

  • Jake will contact you the day before your trip to discuss the forecast and conditions.

  • In the event of unsafe weather (lightning or high winds), your trip will be rescheduled at no cost to you.

  • We can fish in the rain, but we won’t launch in lightning or continue if the weather becomes unsafe mid-trip.

Your safety is always our #1 priority.

WHEN IS A GOOD TIME TO GO?

This is our most frequently asked question — and the answer is: any time is a good time to fish!

  • The bite varies day to day. Sometimes mornings are hot, other times the afternoon bite is best.

  • Spring, summer, and fall are typically the most consistent.

  • Winter trips are still productive — we just have to work a bit harder for the bite.

We’ll do everything we can to make every trip productive and fun.

WHAT KIND OF FISH WILL WE CATCH?

We mainly target:

  • White bass

  • Hybrid-striper

  • Crappie

  • Striper

  • Catfish

Other species you might catch:

  • Freshwater drum

  • Largemouth bass

  • Even the occasional carp

We fillet and bag your legal catch after the trip. While freshwater drum and carp aren’t great eating, clients sometimes request to keep a largemouth bass — and that’s totally fine with us.
